Botox Chicago
Specialized cosmetic surgeons at The Liposuction and Cosmetic Surgery Institute (LSCI) offer the finest Botox Chicago has to offer. Hide those wrinkles and get a more youthful appearance.
Why Botox?
Throughout our lives we've all smiled, laughed, and even frowned quite extensively. Unfortunately, dynamic wrinkles form as a result of the actions of muscles.
Examples of this are the worry lines in the forehead, frown lines and crow's feet. The contraction of small muscles under the skin results in grooves being worn into the skin. The more emotion you show, the deeper these wrinkles and lines are likely to be. While you may have earned every one of your worry lines, with Botox you don't have to show them anymore.
How Does Botox Work?
Botox works by preventing facial muscles from causing wrinkles, thereby allowing the skin to relax and assume its non-wrinkled appearance. In our Chicago Center, Botox is most commonly injected into the frown lines, horizontal forehead lines, and crow's feet. In some patients, Botox injection into the neck muscles is performed to provide a more youthful appearance surrounding the face.
How Is Botox Administered?
Botox is injected in tiny amounts into the muscles that create wrinkles. When this occurs, the nerve impulses are blocked and the muscle weakens and relaxes. Botox injections take about ten minutes to perform. After treatment, the overlying skin remains smooth and unwrinkled while the untreated facial muscles contract normally, allowing your natural facial expression to be unaffected. No sedation or local anesthetic is required, and you can resume regular activities immediately. Botox injections last an average of three to six months.
