Face Lift ChicagoFace-Lift, Soft Lift™, Soft Face Lift™
As people age, the effects of gravity, exposure to the sun, and the stresses of daily life can be seen in their faces. Deep creases form between the nose and mouth, the jaw line grows slack and jowly, and folds and fat deposits appear around the neck. A brilliant, new advancement in the face lift technique, known as the S-Lift or Soft Lift, a natural soft face lift can "set back the clock," improving the most visible signs of aging by removing excess fat, tightening underlying muscles, and redraping the skin of the face and neck. This exciting breakthrough produces amazing results with a significantly shorter recovery period.
A traditional face lift usually takes up to six hours -- or longer if you're having more than one procedure. The S-Lift, on the other hand, is performed in about one hour. This "mini" version of the face lift procedure is designed to maximize aesthetic results while minimizing the invasiveness of the surgery, thereby significantly reducing both complications and recovery time. Patients usually heal within one week, as opposed to several months with the classic face lift. Dr. Leon Forrester Tcheupdjian has learned the S-Lift procedure directly from the experts in Europe and now offers it to his patients in Chicago, Illinois.
Following surgery, Dr. Tcheupdjian will treat patients with Face-Ceuticals™: nutritional oral supplements, and topical creams, such as Solaris™ UVA blocker. The active ingredients in our multi-product line of Face-Ceuticals™, manufactured and distributed by Forrester Laboratories, will rapidly eliminate swelling, fine wrinkles, edema and bruising, help the patient recover quickly and smoothen the contours of the face. |
Advantages of the S-Lift
The S-Lift involves much less surgery for the patient. Operating time is shorter and can be performed comfortably under local anesthesia. As it is a superficial procedure, patients heal much more quickly than after traditional facelifts (usually within a week), and with far less chance of injuring deeper structures of the face. There are no scars behind or above the ear to heal nor any of the hair loss that can occur with traditional facelifts. There is less skin damage with the S-Lift as the skin is excised before starting to dissect the subcutaneous attachments.
Complications of the S-Lift are few and are usually limited to mild bruising, swelling, a feeling of tightness in the cheeks, and a small dimpling of the skin below the earlobe, all of which resolve quickly.
The aesthetic results of the S-Lift are superb and rival those of the traditional facelift. The S-Lift gives a natural look without the "wind tunnel" appearance that so often occurs after traditional facelifts. |

How is the S-Lift performed?
Unlike most other facelifts, the S-Lift is a superficial procedure. First, special anesthetic solution is injected in the area in front of the ear, resulting in gentle lifting of the skin from the underlying facial tissue. Most of the dissection (separation of the skin from the underlying layer) is performed by a small cannula and anesthetic fluid, therefore there is little cutting involved. The procedure is performed in an almost "bloodless field."
The underlying tissue is then elevated and repositioned. The excess skin in front of the ear is excised and the skin flap is redraped and meticulously repaired. Mild compression bandages are used for the first 24 hours. Most patients are seen the next day when the bandage is removed, and the wound redressed. After three days, patients can remove the dressing, wash their hair, and apply antibiotic ointment. Sutures are removed after six to seven days. Massage helps to accelerate healing of the underlying tissue.
Most patients are able to return to work after a week, but some are able to to work the next day after the procedure. |
