Why Mesotherapy / Meso-Glow?

The philosophy explained by Dr. Tcheupdjian

Who wants to live to be 150?!

The human body is in a constant state of flux always changing, minute by minute. Our cells are never the same. They are always under attack, being altered, or defected by free radicals (produced by extra electrons of unstable molecules from oxidation and reduction by-products).

I find it rather mind-boggling and ironic that 20 % of the oxygen we breathe converts into destructive and dangerous free radicals. The very thing that we cannot live without “oxygen” in order to breathe has turned out to be very destructive and highly volatile. We implement healthy aerobic and deep breathing exercises to increase oxygen flow to our bodies only to be the recipients of own mitochondrial and nuclear DNA destruction.

The “unstable” oxygen we intake ignites a slow inflammatory response throughout the entire body creating DNA and RNA degradation, cell membrane destruction, and cellular degeneration leading to the creation of waste products (lipofuscins) disturbing our body’s ability to repair itself. Inflammation also interferes with the synthesis of proteins; enzymes and vital hormones, while reducing the counts of vital T-cells causing harm to the immune system.

Free radicals attack the collagen, elastin and connective tissue causing inflexibility and damage to the skin. This process known as “aging” accompanied with the creation of mutant cells eventually leads to cancer and death. It’s almost as if we are providing truth to Shakespeare’s statement, “We owe God death.” My practice believes aging is preventable and “the war on aging has just begun,” so says the slogan of the American Academy of Anti-aging medicine.

Together with Mother Nature, medical scientists have created a powerful cure for preventing and counteracting the harmful oxidation process: The miracle of antioxidants, working to combat free radicals (or free radical scavengers). They actually seek out free radicals and bind them before they can attach themselves to other molecules and cause cross-linking. The key is learning how to maximize their effects, and our practice has done just that by means of medical treatments, oral supplementation, topicals, and through the miraculous healing effects of mesotherapy dermal penetration.

Mesotherapy Technique

Using a very tiny needle (0.4 to 0.6 cm or the size of an eyelash), medications are injected painlessly into the mesoderm composed of skin, muscles and connective tissues under the skin. This occurs because the needle is specially manufactured to deliver the medicine in a series of painless injections in a typical treatment. Sometimes the technique of "multi-pricking" is used, where a number of swift, painless injections are concentrated in a specific area. Although "multi-pricking" can be done by hand, we employ the French “Pistolet électronique”, a mechanical delivery system that delivers the medicine in a more accurate fashion with even less discomfort to the patient. Patients have universally responded that the treatments cause less pain than a momentary, light pinch.

All patients undergoing Mesotherapy will be asked to follow a natural healthy diet, incorporating the delicious and easy to follow Success for Life™ nutritional system delivering heath restoring supplements.

To enhance the effects of Mesotherapy injections, we have combine modern medical science of Ionophoresis by Ionothermie from France, Sonophoresis by Smart Ultrasound™, Endermologie™ from France, Dermasonic from Spain, Dynamed and Oxyjet therapy from Germany into our Longevity Spas. These treatments promote deep lymphatic release and detoxification, requiring patients to consume at least 8-10 glasses of filtered water per day to aid in the flushing process. Exercise is also essentials to circulate the medications used. We recommend either walking or other forms of aerobic activity three times per week.

The Benefits of Injection:

Dermagenesis™ topical skin care products are extremely beneficial for maintaining and repairing the top epidermal tissue layer. They work to improve cellular turnover, exfoliating dead skin cells, moisturising, while delivering vital antioxidants and minerals to promote a healthy and youthful complexion.

Most over the counter skin products only improve the surface epidermal layers of the body or face. These topicals cannot penetrate through Basement Membrane, the skin layer that lies beneath the cellular stratum functioning to attach the epidermis to the dermal skin layer. This barrier serves as the layer of protection against harmful bacteria, diseases, or radiation entering the body. Its crucial roll is to keep the world outside.

Orally administered medications or vitamins are traditionally effective, however they become diluted upon ingestion and destroyed by the gastric acid and intestinal secretions. They need to pass through the body’s gastrointestinal tract to be filtered through the liver and only a small fraction of the oral medication or vitamins will actually arrive at the desired site.

This is the key; Mesotherapy injections in turn penetrate through the basement membrane (or the protective barrier) and into the deeper cellular levels or the Mesoderm (skin, connective tissue under the skin, fascia and muscles). The patient receives the full effect of the medication and vitamins without the dilution from the digestive process, causing the site to heal or be rejuvenated at an extremely rapid pace.

We inject into the mesoderm because it represents the crucial location in the body (the middle germ cell layer under the skin) where the muscles, bone cartilage, blood, connective vascular and lymph tissues develop. By placing the nutrients directly into this area, the rate of success is superior to oral or topical treatments alone.

Mesotherapy for the Face?

Multiple factors contribute to accelerated aging and wrinkles in the face. Primarily over exposure to sunlight (photo aging), free radicals, poor nutrition, hormonal imbalances, and extreme stress (malfunctioning within the brain-beauty connection) are among the most common. All will lead to skin irregularities, dehydration, and a progressive loss of collagen and elastin (essential for maintaining youthful tone and moisture and suppleness).

Mesotherapy skin rejuvenation utilizes the dermal infusion technique (multiple tiny injections) to deliver pharmaceutical, natural medications, vital antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, fat dissolvers and other substances to nourish the deficient intracellular levels. The tiny injections work to stimulate a multitude of cellular receptor sites, which signal the brain-body-beauty axis to produce collagen and elastin, reduce wrinkling, while replenishing cellular hydration.

After a series of treatments, patients will notice a positive change in skin tone, suppleness, and elasticity. The treatment promotes significant tightening and lifting effects within the skin, revealing an overall rested youthful appearance.

Mesotherapy skin rejuvenation is extremely effective and can be safely used in combination with Dr.Tcheupdjian’s other anti-aging procedures and treatments. Signature treatments include Laser Dermagenesis™, Micro-Laser resurfacing, Chemical Peels, Therma-lift, Botox, fillers as Collagen, Fat, Restylane, Perlane, Juviderm, endoscopic brow lift, eyelid surgeries, and the Soft Face-lift™ the natural face-lift where "Less is More".

Mesotherapy for Stretch Marks?

Stretch Marks are the visible streaks or narrow lines on the skins surface appearing red or white (hyperpigmented) in color. They generally are a result of constant pressure and tension being forced upon the skin’s surface from an underlying source including excessive weight gain/loss, rapid muscular building or shrinking, and pregnancy; all of which apply excessive force upon the skin. After a long period of repeated stretching, the skin’s connective tissue layers eventually give and manifest as deep tears in the collagen and elastin fibers of the deeper layers of the dermis (deep layer of the skin).

Mesotherapy is effective in improving stretch marks. The medication, nutrients and the super anti-oxidants injected first work on naturally repairing the deeply torn connective tissue within the surface of the stretch marks, while promoting the growth of new fresh collagen fibers in the renewed skin, eventually replacing the blemished appearance on the surface. Mesotherapy works in conjunction with Dr. Tcheupdjians’s other stretch mark removing systems such as Microdermabrasion, Laser Dermagenesis™ IPL, Relume™ and Therma-genesis™ treatments.

How does Mesotherapy remove Cellulite?

The Mesotherapy treatment works to reduce, sculpt, and contour specific undesired fat pockets, while promoting overall weight loss. The medications injected work to naturally destroy the connective tissue bands, while emulsifying, melting and shrinking the trapped fat cells in the scarpus fascia layer. As the formula is injected into the fat below the skin, it slowly diffuses to penetrate into the fat tissue causing breakdown and dissipation of the hard resistant fat. As the fat dissolves it is either sent to the muscles to be used as energy, or carried through the bloodstream and excreted by the kidneys and lungs as waste by-products (just as it is during typical weight loss).

The treatment promotes the blockage of alpha (fat building) receptors while stimulating the beta receptors (fat breakdown) on the surface of the fat cells; ensuring long-term weight loss.
