Restylane and Perlane
We're surrounded by images of people with flawless skin and full pouty lips. Professional makeup, flattering lighting effects and airbrushing techniques make it easy to look good in magazines, on television and in films. It's tougher to look good in real life... but not as hard as you think.
Restylane is a natural cosmetic dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid, which is a natural substance that exists in the human body and is used to provide volume and fullness to the skin.
Restylane is the answer to long lasting wrinkle correction, with average results lasting six months or longer.
Restylane is a hyaluronic acid. It's a unique form of non-animal stabilized natural polysaccharide which occurs as an important structural element in the skin and in subcutaneous and connective tissue. It belongs to a group of a very few substances, which are identical in all living organisms. Restylane and Perlane add volume to the tissue, thereby restoring the skin contour or enhance the lips to the desired level of correction. It is natural and soft.
Restylane Injections
Facial wrinkles and creases begin to appear as the underlying collagen and elastin fibers begin to break down and wear out. While this breakdown is part of the natural aging process, it can also result from excessive squinting, frowning, and smiling. Creams can moisturize or exfoliate the surface of your skin, but they can't diminish the lines or wrinkles that are caused by the wearing away of the underlying collagen support layer.
Over time, the sun, the elements, smoking and the aging process take their toll, especially in the peri-oral area of the face. The corners of the mouth begin to droop. The V-shaped area of the upper lip (known as the Cupid's Bow) begins to flatten out and lose its youthful fullness. Vertical wrinkles or smoker's lines begin to appear, often causing lipstick to bleed. That once sensual look is gone or greatly diminished. With Restylane injections, aging lips can be rejuventated and less full lips can be enhanced. This filler has a natural feel and is soft and pliable.
How is Restylane used?
Restylane is injected and is sometimes referred to as a "lunchtime" procedure. It usually takes less than twenty minutes of your time. Restylane Injections are a nonsurgical procedure, which replenish the skin's natural collagen support layer, smoothing facial lines, wrinkles, and most types of scars. We can also improve the appearance of deeper frown lines and nasial labial furrows. Retylane injections are relatively painless, because collagen contains a local anesthetic. It is injected under your skin or lips, beneath the wrinkle, through a tiny needle. Several injections may be required, depending on the depth and length of the wrinkles
