Breast implants are available in an assortment of shapes and sizes. Patients and surgeons can choose between saline or silicone implants, smooth or textured, round or anatomic, and various projections.
At Liposuction and Cosmetic Surgery Institute, our team collaborates with each patient to pinpoint the most suitable implant type for their needs and expectations. This helps avoid the need for costly revision surgeries later on and ensures client satisfaction.
During your breast augmentation consultation, our team will perform a thorough evaluation to recommend the best implants for you.
Implant Types
You’ll have the opportunity to select from two types of breast implants: saline and silicone. Each variety is available in numerous shapes and sizes, with the primary distinctions being between the materials and textures.
Silicone implants are gel-filled, exhibiting a highly authentic feel and texture. Additionally, thanks to the consistency of “gummy bear” implants, the gel remains intact even if an implant casing gets torn. Unlike saline breast implants, which contain a saltwater solution.
Another primary distinction between these two options is how the implants are filled. Silicone breast implants are pre-filled and cannot be altered. However, saline implants are filled during surgery, allowing for smaller incisions compared to those required for silicone implants.
Choosing between silicone or saline implants boils down to which option aligns best with your aesthetic objectives. While saline implants may require smaller incisions, silicone implants provide a more natural feel.
Your cosmetic surgeon will play a crucial role in determining the most appropriate type of implant for your needs. This includes assessing the best material, shape, and texture. At the Liposuction and Cosmetic Surgery Institute, we will evaluate your physical health and personal preferences before finalizing a treatment plan.
