Fibroblasting skin tightening treatment. The Plasma Pen has arrived in Chicago, and we’re proud to offer this new treatment in our offices in Chicago’s Gold Coast, Arlington Heights, Oak Brook and Naperville.
As we age, our skin gets thinner and more frail. We then produces less collagen and elastin. Hence, we lose skin elasticity. When we mix in sun exposure and gravity, the end result is sagging, wrinkled skin. This non-surgical skin tightening procedure targets a wide variety of skin conditions, including loss of skin elasticity, sagging skin and wrinkled skin.
What is the Plasma Pen
Plasma Pen is the world’s most advanced, non-invasive, skin lifting, skin tightening and rejuvenation device used to treat wrinkled, sagging, dull skin. The Plasma Pen is an FDA approved, CE approved device used to perform fibroblast therapy, a technique used to stimulate production of collagen in the skin. We have received specialized training for the launch of this new procedure. Please be aware that patients who are pregnant, breast feeding, have active skin infections and/or are on blood-thinning medications are not candidates for the Plasma Pen procedure.
How does the Plasma Pen work?
Our highly trained physicians and staff use the plasma device to delivery plasma energy to stimulate fibroblasting. The plasma significantly tightens, lifts, resurfaces, and regenerates practically any area of the skin.
Plasma Pen converts electrical current energy to ionize molecular nitrogen and transmits that ionized HI-energy gas in the form of a spark to the skin’s surface. This intense heat induces micro-trauma to the skin’s surface and epidermal layer simultaneously, then conducts heat and disrupts the deeper dermal structures. The intense heat and disruption forces the skin cells to respond by healing via signalling recruitment of the special cells called fibroblasts, hence the name “ fibroblasting” or “plasma-induced-fibroblasting.
What areas of the body can be treated with Plasma Pen?
