What is Keralase?
Keralase is a combination treatment that utilizes a medical-grade laser and a Keralase serum application that aims to thicken areas of the head where hair is thinning.
How does the Keralase treatment work?
The first step is a Lutronic LaseMD® , a thulium wavelength that creates thin nano passages deep into the scalp. The second step is precise application of the KeraFactor® serum application that contains five growth factors, stem cells, nanoliposomes and other regenerative proteins that are sponged through the tiny channels created by the LaseMD laser, deep into the scalp where the hair follicles reside.
The nanoliposomes in the serum function as the delivery vehicle of all the regenerative proteins and growth factors into the deep layers of your lasered scalp. This treatment is highly effective on all races and both sexes. As long as you have hair follicles, it should be successful.

How does Keralase work?
First, several passes are made over the areas of thinning hair with a medical grade laser. The laser serves two purposes. 1) It promotes follicle rejuvenation by activating the body’s natural brain receptors. 2) It creates microchannels, which allow the Kerafactor serum to penetrate the scalp, and get to the core of the hair follicle. This allows for enhanced effectiveness of the Kerafactor serum, which is filled with essential growth factors.
What does Keralase cost and how many treatments are necessary?
Individually purchased treatments start at $500 per treatment. Packages of six treatments are recommended, and if paid in advance are available and a discounted per treatment rate. We recommend seeing through the full six-treatment package, spaced four to six weeks apart, with maintenance treatments every six-12 months thereafter.
Is there any pain or downtime associated with Keralaese?
No downtime, since this is a low-level laser. Patients return to normal activities. Many patients have the treatment done on their lunch breaks.
Is the laser safe for all skin types and colors?
Yes, all skin types, tones and shades are safe with this laser.
What is a Kerafactor hair serum?
It is a proprietary mixture composed of essential hair growth factors, plus bioidentical hair growth factors, plus essential skin proteins.

When do I see results after Keralase?
Results always vary from patient to patient, but most patients start to see visible results following the third or fourth treatment. The rejuvenation of the hair follicles can take time, so optimal results are usually noticed about six months following the last treatment in the package.
