Pixel CO2is an in-office procedure that addresses
Using advanced technology, the Pixel CO2 Laser harnesses the power of a carbon dioxide coherent laser to ablate, evaporate and replace by evaporating the water inside 20 percent of the targeted skin cells. This fractional energy (20 percent) causes not only the resurfacing of the skin cells, but also the added benefit of “peripheral heating” unique to the CO2 lasers. This peripheral heating results in intense new collagen remodeling in the skin, which manifests itself in the unique, unparalleled and spectacular results mentioned above.
iTED is the combination of two distinct technologies, performed in the same session to drive PRP (platelet rich plasma). Patients may be familiar with PRP as its more clever nickname: Vampire Face Lift. The technology introduces essential vitamins into the skin, which are derived directly from the patient’s blood cells.
The process is painless and follows this sequence:
a) PRP is extracted and prepared from a small amount of blood drawn from the patient, see our Vampire Face Lift page for more on the subject
b) The Pixel CO2 laser profractionally creates microchannels or microperforations of the skin,
c) The PRP mixture is then directly applied, along with liquified botox or pure high concentrations of cosmeceuticals on the surface of the skin.
d) The IMPACT module then applies acoustic pressure that forces the surface liquids to be driven and pushed directly into the deep and therapeutic depth of the skin. This ingenious method achieves spectacular and impressive rejuvenation of the skin.

We offer the Pixel CO2 laser at our Chicagoland offices and will normally take between 15 and 30 minutes.
Because Pixel CO2 is an ablative laser procedure, there is normally three to four days downtime. Some minor redness and/or pink hues may appear for a couple days post treatment. Patients can resume normal, everyday activities one day following treatment.
Because the Pixel CO2 laser treatment is slightly uncomfortable, numbing of the skin with a topical cream anesthetic is necessary.
