Expect your results to last anywhere from six months to one year depending on how your body processes the treatment. Repeated facial movements and grimaces are factors when determining lasting results. In short, the more you move your facial muscles, the shorter the effects of Juvederm XC will be visible.

The advent of Juvederm XC has taken any real discomfort associated with dermal injections and made it disappear. The implementation of the anesthetic Lidocaine directly into the injection syringe has virtually eliminated any discomfort during and after injection. Patients rarely may still have minor bruising, swelling or discoloration post-injection, but expect these side effects to last no more than 24 hours.
