How does CoolTone work?
A CoolTone applicator is placed over the area to be treated. This applicator then generates a magnetic field, which creates a current when passed through a conductor. The patient’s muscle acts as the conductor during treatment. Muscles act as good conductors of magnetic fields because of their density. Skin and fat are less dense, and thereby not effective conductors of the magnetic field, which means they are nearly unaffected by the magnetic field current. The magnetic field creates muscle contraction, which in turn stimulates muscle strength and conditioning. The result is visibly firm, toned muscles of the abdomen, thighs and buttocks. Basically, it’s like doing a workout that cannot be recreated in the gym, since the level of muscle contraction attained during CoolTone treatment is impossible to attain during a workout
