What is Hormone Pellet Therapy?

Published by Leon Tcheupdjian

No matter how healthy our daily exercise routine and diet might be, we are all affected by the aging process in some way over time. One factor that determines how each of us face this inevitable journey involves how quickly our bodies hormone levels drop.

The imbalance or loss of these hormones as we age leads to weight gain, stubborn fat retention, lower energy levels, and makes us more vulnerable to getting sick. To help our bodies prepare, many have turned to hormone replacement therapy to find the right balance and feel healthier again.

How Does It Work?

Hormone Pellet Therapy works through an injection technique that allows our bloodstream to take the necessary amount of hormones needed for the body. The hormones within each pellet, which is no larger than a grain of rice, are identical on a molecular level to those found naturally occurring in our bodies. Rather than receiving a shot of just testosterone or estrogen and receiving an excess quantity of either hormone all at once, these pellets gradually deliver a balanced amount of either hormone into your body’s bloodstream.

When it comes to weight loss and regulation as we age, the bioidentical hormone pellets can keep fatty areas of the body in check. This is done by trained medical professionals who use a special device to insert the pellets under the skin surrounding the stomach, upper buttocks and hip areas.

How Long Does It Take For The Hormone Pellets To Work?

Within one to two days, some clients can notice a difference in energy levels, muscle function and more as the bioidentical hormone pellets begin to work. For others it may take a few weeks to start seeing improvements.

Results will continue to emerge and improve over the course of three to five months for women and four to six months for men.

Once the pellets are inserted, they will dissolve naturally into the bloodstream over time.

Will This Process Also Work For Men?

In short, the answer is yes, hormone pellet therapy works for men just as much as it can for women. Just some of the many benefits in addition to improved muscle function and energy levels, can include the following: a decreased likelihood of developing heart disease and some cancers, an improved sex drive, enhanced congnitive function, improvements to sleep function, balanced cholestorol levels, reduced hair loss, and mental health improvements.

While all of these benefits have been documented improvements of this hormone therapy method, results will vary from client to client.
