Recovery
Most patients recover from breast augmentation within 4-6 weeks. After the procedure, a surgical bra is worn to support your breasts as they heal. You might also receive small drainage tubes that are strategically placed to help reduce fluid buildup in the treatment area. These tubes are typically removed within 1-3 weeks.
Swelling, bruising, and tenderness is normal and can last up to 5 weeks. Depending on your job, you should be able to return to work 1-2 weeks after surgery. You will not be able to take part in strenuous activity or lift anything heavy until you have fully recovered.
