For the second part of my New Year, new treatment series, I am excited to introduce Thermi RF to my patients. This is truly a revolutionary treatment because it combines fat removal with skin tightening. Those are two of the most requested treatments in my practice. And this treatment provides both in one.
Thermi RF Skin Tightening and Fat Removal
For years, I’ve treated unwanted fat both surgically and non-surgically. Surgical treatments like tumescent liposuction, VASER high-definition liposuction and laser lipolysis will always provide unmatched fat removal results. Huge advances in non-surgical fat removal treatments like Cool Sculpting, mesotherapy and various non-invasive radio frequency treatments have proven that surgery isn’t necessarily needed to successfully treat unwanted fat.
Thermi RF is somewhat of a hybrid. Using a tiny cannula, I make a minuscule incision and introduce the cannula into the fat layer. The cannula then delivers radio frequency heat energy to the fat layer. The heating of the fat causes it melt, and the body flushes the melted fat away naturally.
Thermi RF provides excellent results in areas previously tough to treat
The Thermi RF treatment has been a godsend in areas that previously were difficult to treat with other methods. These areas include the submental region below the chin and throughout the neck; the axillary fold near the armpit; fatty arms; certain areas of the abdomen and the upper knees. And not only does the Thermi RF treatment remove unwanted fat, the radio frequency heat energy also acts to tighten the outermost skin layer in the treated area. It’s simply a dream combination for doctors and patients alike.
I’ve already performed several Thermi RF treatments in 2014, and I’ve found the Thermi RF treatment provides surgical-like results for a treatment that’s about as minimally invasive as you can possibly get when directly treating fatty tissue.
