Resumé need a boost? The face lift can do wonders

Aging job seekers can benefit from a face lift

These days there are many reasons to consider cosmetic surgery and plastic surgery, but today I’d like to focus on one particular reason. In the last few years men and women with great experience and fabulous skillsets visit one of my cosmetic surgery centers in Chicago, Arlington Heights, Oak Brook and Naperville because they are continually passed over for promotions and new, exciting job opportunities. These seasoned professionals have physically aged, and the aging process leaves them feeling empty going up against younger, hip candidates.

All it takes is one good look at the pharmaceutical reps who visit my office. I can’t help but notice my major suppliers are hiring young, good looking people, who sometimes don’t have the business savvy I think is required of the respective positions.  Most companies want a 30-year-old employee with 30 years of experience. But what if I could help you look 30 (or close to it) to accompany your decades of experience in your field? That’s where I can help with a facelift, whether it is a surgical or non-surgical approach.

A face lift can help you feel younger and boost your self esteem

Prospective patients seeking facelift surgery often do so for their own personal reasons: looking younger, feeling good about themselves, improving their self-esteem, and presenting a more attractive persona to the public. However, they may be facing much larger concerns than just how they look. For some men and women, a facelift can have huge implications in their personal life and their career. Are patients really seeking facelift surgery to save their jobs? You bet they are, and it is working. In my downtown Chicago, Arlington Heights, Oak Brook and Naperville offices this is becoming more and more obvious to me every day.

While a facelift can’t boost your technological skills or suddenly reform you into a better public speaker, it can offer many profound benefits. Seeking a facelift surgery for one’s career is usually done for two reasons: 1) To appear younger and distinguish oneself among the aging workforce 2) To boost one self’s confidence, thus improving work performance. As companies begin to deal with cases of age discrimination and handing out pink slips to those too young for retirement, some workers are choosing to do all they can to insulate themselves from father time and the proverbial unemployment line.

With a more youthful look, your future has no boundaries

Like middle-aged employees, middle-aged job seekers sometimes opt for facelifts as a strategy to break into a new corporate workplace, perhaps looking as young and vibrant as they did years ago. Even if your company doesn’t retain you because of that newly redefined jawline, there is no end to where your new self-confidence might take you, and the new opportunities that are presented to you.
